Getting ready for 2015

Timing & Class

How are things going for you? The end of the year seems to be a hectic time for many people. If you're one of them, I hope you're sneaking in some time for yourself to recharge, especially over this weekend.

Ever since I got into astrology, I've always found it interesting that at this time of the year, there's massive over-consumption and over-indulgence. Don't get me wrong, I do my fair share of it! Astrologically though, it is out of alignment with those positive Cappie qualities such as restraint, elegance, efficacy, and so on.

What IS aligned, is reflecting on what has past, and planning for the future. So if you were planning to do an annual review, set goals and intentions for 2015, you're totally in sync with the current cosmic energies. The secret to getting the most out of this is to draw on the moments and events that will give you strength to move ahead. Give equal attention to treasuring what was as you give to creating what will beAnd no beating yourself up, please.

The icing on the cake this month, is that this New Moon is not just in Capricorn, but it's also happening right where the sign starts—a major flashpoint that in birth charts indicates potential fame through the individual's contributions to society.

As a transit, it asks you to consider, if you were to receive a tribute:

  • what would you want it to be for?
  • what kind of emotional connection do you want to create with society in general?

You may find this a little abstract, but it is in line with the season of giving, so just run this through your mind and see what comes up.

Also, there's a planetary party going on in Capricorn at this New Moon. Basically, we have Capricorn on steroids.

So, while the holidays can be a whole bundle of fun, if you do run into situations where tensions run high, try to act, and most importantly, speak with restraint. There can be times when sharp or blunt words are necessary, but now (Christmas till the New Year) is *not* the time. Think of it as biding your time, picking the right moment.

Bottomline, act with class, do the right thing, even if it's not the easiest or comfortable thing to do.

Hang Tough

It is the right time though, especially from now till April (ref. the pressure cooker astro), for evolution and revolution. I know I keep going on about it, but this really a huge opportunity that everyone can tap into. Whatever you want to transform in yourself, in your life, there is so much potential here, so grab at it. I'll be the first to admit that this astro is not easy to manage; there are days I want to hide under the blankets, and you probably have them too.

BUT! Think about it this way: astrology is all about cycles, energies ebbing and flowing. When a particularly strong wave shows up, you want to get on that wave, even if it means falling off a few times. We're on the last stretch of a series of cycles that started in late 2008, so hang in there. We'll get there together :)

Wishing you love, laughter and courage in 2015 as your story and journey unfolds! Happy Holidays :)

Blessings,
Julia
